my approach
I believe healing happens through connection—with others and with ourselves.
The Relationship Focus was founded on the belief that relationships are at the heart of our emotional well-being. We are shaped through connection, and the relationships we experience influence how we love, communicate, protect ourselves, and understand who we are. The patterns we develop often carry the stories of where we've been. Through therapy, we can better understand those patterns, heal emotional wounds, and create healthier ways of connecting—with others and with ourselves.
My approach
A practice built on warmth, therapeutic insight, and the belief that relationships are at the heart of healing.
I believe everyone deserves a space where they can be fully seen, heard, and understood, without judgment or the pressure to have it all figured out. My approach is grounded in evidence-based therapy and guided by genuine curiosity, compassion, and respect for your unique story. Wherever you are in your journey, I'll meet you there, helping you better understand the relationship patterns that shape your life, heal what no longer serves you, and build healthier, more meaningful ways of connecting.

At The Relationship Focus, I believe relationships are at the heart of our emotional well-being. The ways we connect with our partners, families, communities, and ourselves shape how we experience life. When those relationships become strained, disconnected, or impacted by past experiences, it can affect every part of how we live, love, and relate to others. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I don't believe people are defined by their problems. Instead, I help clients understand the relationship patterns that shape their lives, heal emotional wounds, release what no longer serves them, and build healthier, more meaningful ways of connecting.
Therapy is more than a place to talk; it's an opportunity to better understand yourself, your relationships, and the experiences that have shaped you. Intentionality is central to my practice, and curiosity serves as my compass. My approach is warm, collaborative, trauma-informed, and grounded in curiosity rather than judgment. I work with adults and couples ages 19–70+ navigating relationships, trauma, identity, life transitions, grief, and life's harder turns. I support individuals from all walks of life, including creatives, BIPOC, and LGBTQIA+ communities. I believe your identity, culture, relationships, and lived experiences are essential to understanding the whole person, and I strive to create a space where you can feel seen, respected, and fully yourself. Together, we'll explore the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, deepen self-awareness, uncover the strengths you already possess, and build greater emotional capacity for navigating relationships and life. My work is informed by evidence-based approaches including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, Attachment Theory, Family Systems, CBT, ACT, DBT, Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Contextual Theory, and Bowen Family Systems Theory. Rather than following one model, I thoughtfully integrate these approaches to meet your unique needs, goals, and therapeutic process.
The Principles That Guide My Work
My core values
Compassionate Care
I believe every person deserves to be met with warmth, curiosity, and respect. I create a space for your experiences to be understood without judgment, while honoring the complexity of your story.
Evidence-Based, Relationship-Centered Therapy
I integrate proven therapeutic approaches with a deep understanding of relationships, attachment, and the patterns that shape how we connect with ourselves and others.
A Systems Perspective
I recognize that we are shaped by our relationships, families, communities, and life experiences. Therapy considers the whole person—not just the challenges they are facing.
A safe and inclusive space
I honor the identities, experiences, and stories that make each person unique. My work is grounded in creating a space where you feel seen, heard, valued, and respected.
Let's connect.
The relationships we build shape the stories we carry, the ways we connect, and how we understand ourselves. If you're ready to invest in your relationships and create meaningful change, I'd be honored to support you.
